CARIBBEAN STUD POKER
Back to games help1) Description and objective
Caribbean Stud Poker is a version of the popular Stud Poker card game. The game is fast paced because you play the hand you are dealt. There is no draw in stud poker. It differs from other poker games as it is played against the house and not against other players.
2) How to play
- Place a bet in the "Ante" field and place an optional 0.10 chip in the progressive jackpot slot.
- The player and dealer's cards are dealt.
- If you played the progressive jackpot side game and you have a straight or better you are paid out according to the jackpot payout table.
- You can now either "Fold" or "Raise". If you press "Fold" you lose your ante bet and the game is over. If you press "Raise" then double the amount of the ante bet is wagered in the "Bet" field and the dealer's cards are revealed. You win according to the rules described below.
3) Specific game rules
Play begins by placing a bet in the "Ante" field. You can play for the optional progressive jackpot by putting a 0.10 chip in the progressive jackpot slot. It lights up to show there is a progressive jackpot bet. Then the player is dealt 5 cards face up and the dealer is dealt 5 cards, 4 of which are dealt face down. You then have the option to raise or fold. If you fold you lose your ante bet. If you decide to raise then an additional bet of 2 times your ante bet is placed in the "Bet" field. This is called the "Call" bet.
The dealer cards are now revealed. In order for the dealer to qualify he needs to have a hand better than an Ace with a King. If the dealer does not qualify the ante bet is paid out 1 to 1 and the call bet is a push. If the dealer does qualify then the dealers' hand is compared to the players' hand. If the dealer has a higher hand then the player loses the ante and call bet. If the players' hand is higher then the ante bet is paid out 1 to 1 and the call bet is paid out according to the bonus payout table. (See chart)
If the player decided to play for the progressive jackpot he wins if he has a straight or higher and is paid out according to the Jackpot payout table. (See chart) The progressive jackpot bet is treated as a separate side game so it doesn't matter if whether or not he beats the dealer.
4) Paytable and limits
The minimum bet is 0.10 and the maximum bet is 50
