CLASSIC VIDEO POKER
Back to games help1) Description and objective
The objective of the game is to get a winning combination in a hand of 5 cards using 2 draws. You may select the cards to hold after the first draw. The better your hand the bigger the payout.
You choose how many and which of your cards are to be held by pressing on the hold buttons or the cards. When you press "Draw" the dealer will deal the remaining cards.
2) How to play
- Click on plus/minus buttons to change the stake. (The minimum stake is $0.10 the maximum is $5). By clicking the "Bet One" button, one coin at the set stake is inserted. So the minimum total bet is $0.10 and the maximum $25.
- Click on the Deal button to get your cards
- Choose which cards you wish to keep by pressing the corresponding "Hold" button on the machine, or by clicking on the card itself.
- When you made your choice, click on the "Draw" button, where upon you will be dealt the remaining cards.
Your cards are automatically compared to the paytable. If the value of your hand is lower than the lowest combination on the paytable, you lose your bet. If the value of your hand corresponds to one or more winning combinations, you receive the highest winning combination. In the game, the table is shown at the left side of the screen, just above the cards. See the image on the right. | |
3) Specific game rules
Buttons:
Double-up:
The classic video poker has a feature called double-up which makes it possible for the player to double his winnings.
After the second draw, your 5 card hand is automatically evaluated and your winnings are calculated. You then get the choice to collect your winnings or to play the double-up game. (Both the collect and the double-up button are blinking.)
Every time you win, you get the choice to collect or to play another double-up game up to a maximum of 2000.
 | Double-up step 1: The value of the first card is the value to beat. |
 | Double-up step 2: Pick one of the four other cards and check out how lucky you really are! |
Wild Cards:
 | | Wild Cards A "Wild Card" (or joker) can be substituted for any other card to create a better poker hand. Some of the rule sets use specific cards as wildcards. For example in "Deuces Wild", all the twos are wild. In "Sevens Wild" all the sevens are wild. And in "Double Joker" there have been added two jokers to the deck which of course act as wilds. During the game, all of these wild cards are indicated with an animated yellow glow. |
